Courtney and Jeremy met in physical therapy school and currently reside in Nashville, Tennessee. Since Courtney is from the Indianapolis area, they are planning their 2021 wedding for Indy and contacted me about engagement pictures here in Indy as well. They had several ideas which made for a fun and busy morning photo session!

We began downtown at the park across from the Indiana World War Memorial. The couple enjoyed a walk with their two dogs and a few moments to sit on a park bench. Then they changed outfits and we got a few playful shots around the nearby buildings and opened a bottle of champagne while Courtney’s parents corralled the dogs and watched from a distance.

We then drove to Massachusetts Avenue for a slice of pizza at Goodfellas. I believe this stop was in remembrance of their first date. They showed off their signature pose “the sloth” out on the sidewalk of Mass Ave before we jumped into our cars to head to the third location.

At the home of a relative the couple made fresh pasta from Jeremy’s grandmother’s recipe. With Jeremy’s Italian roots, pasta making is a family favorite which they have fully embraced! I watched while they made their flour well, added the eggs and needed the dough with grandmas’s recipe sitting nearby. Then they rolled the dough and cut the noodles. With their playfulness, I’m sure the flour usually flies, but I think they held back just a little since we were in they were not in their own kitchen!

Before we wrapped up the session we went outside for a few more casual shots with the dogs. Jeans, black t-shirts, and bare feet were the low-key look as they tossed a ball for the dogs along the tree-lined sidewalk.
